Dan POV

He’d been peeping at Phil from time to time throughout the movie, and in the big scene where they sang at the stage he took the time to peek at him again, to face something that broke his heart. Phil was crying, why was he crying? Phil mustn’t cry, he’s supposed to be happy and innocent.

“Phil? What’s wrong?” Dan asked and pulled Phil into a hug, he wanted to cry with him. Phil kept on crying without answering, and Dan didn’t know how to help him, he just wanted the Phil he loved to be happy.

“Phil, please, tell me what’s wrong?” Dan asked again and looked at Phil with begging eyes. Phil looked at him, and they gazed into each other’s eyes for a moment, Dan loved Phil’s eyes, no words could describe how beautiful they where, that Icy blue colour.

“It hurts so much, love hurts Dan, it hurts...” Phil said with a vague voice.

Dan felt his heart shatter, Phil was in love with someone, and he would end up with a girlfriend, become married, get children and grow old with her. He didn’t want to hear more, he wanted to cry himself, why was the world so cruel? Phil was right, love hurts.

Phil POV
Dan stared at him, he didn’t move or anything, he was just staring.

Phil knew that he shouldn’t have told him, he didn’t confess his love, but he was sure Dan figured him out, and was filled with disgust over the fact that his male friend was in love with him. Phil felt horrible, he’d ruined everything, he just wanted it to end, and he wished this feeling of despair to end.

Dan POV

He had to pull himself together, it was possible that Phil didn’t love him, but they could still be friends, best friends, just like before.

He finally managed to pull himself together and focus at Phil again, he didn’t know what to say, how could he help his friend with love, when he loved him himself .

“D-do you want to... talk ‘bout it?” Dan managed to stutter.

Phil looked confused all of a sudden, why?

Phil POV

“D-do you want to... talk ‘bout it?”Dan asked, Phil stared at him, he was confused, if Dan knew how he felt, he wouldn’t want to talk about it, would he? Maybe he hadn’t realised? Or maybe he just wanted to be nice against Phil? Or could it be that he, could he really feel the same way?

Phil gazed into Dan’s eyes again, if he really felt the same way? It was a vague hope, but if he did? He knew what to do, but if Dan didn’t feel the same way, their friendship would probably end after this.

Phil took a deep breath, closed his eyes and pressed his own lips against Dan’s.
